William Jones IV Promoted to President of Sissy’s Log Cabin
The third-generation leader succeeds Lamar McCubbin, who resigned last month after 11 years in the role.
William Jones IV has been promoted from chief operations officer to president of Sissy’s Log Cabin.
Little Rock, Ark.— William Jones IV will take over as president of Arkansas-based independent jeweler Sissy’s Log Cabin, the retailer announced last week.
William, the son of CEO Bill Jones, is a third-generation leader of the family-owned and -operated store and will transition from his role as chief operations officer.
He brings to the position a dedication to the business and a vision for its continued growth, the store said, adding that his leadership has been “pivotal in merging tradition with modernity.”
“William has been a cornerstone of our business for many years,” Bill said.
“His ability to balance innovation with our company’s traditions will undoubtedly build on our accomplishments over the past 50 years. This is an exciting time for both our family and the company, and I am proud to see him take on this new challenge and continue Sissy’s legacy.”
Previous President Lamar McCubbin, who served in the role for 11 years, stepped down earlier this month to spend more time with family, according to Sissy’s Log Cabin.
McCubbin will continue to work in the industry as a consultant.
“Lamar is a remarkable leader and will remain a close friend to Sissy’s Log Cabin,” said Bill. “We wish him all the best as he takes time to be with his family and we are deeply grateful for his contributions to the growth and success of our company.”

William’s appointment marks a dynamic new chapter for the business, the store said.

As part of the third generation of Jones family jewelry professionals, I look forward to continuing this legacy.”
William’s brother Wyatt Jones will remain in his position as vice president, as well as store manager for Sissy’s Log Cabin’s Memphis location.
His other brother, Joe Cook, will continue in his role as vice president of management, as well as store manager of the retailer’s Jonesboro, Arkansas, location.
Sissy’s Log Cabin, founded in 1970, has six stores across Arkansas and Tennessee.
