New York—The new educational event Symposium ’24, presented by The Plumb Club, JCK, and Jewelers Mutual, will feature a special appearance from Lori Greiner of ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

Greiner, a self-made entrepreneur, will kick off the two-day retailer-focused learning forum with a keynote address on Sunday, March 10.

A prolific inventor of retail products and a master brand builder, Greiner is known for her negotiating skills and ability to identify and launch emerging brands.

In her career, she has created and marketed more than 1,000 products, holds 120 U.S. and international patents, and has a 90 percent success rate for new items launched.

She’s also a leading “Shark” on ABC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning entrepreneurial business show “Shark Tank,” where she, alongside the other Sharks, invest in entrepreneur contestants’ companies.

To date, she has invested in 10 of the top 20 most successful companies launched via the show.

Greiner is a strong role model for women of all ages, said Symposium organizers, noting that at the heart of her success is a combination of talent, hard work, and perseverance.

She was honored with the Sherry Lansing Woman of the Year Award in 2018 and, in 2017, was recognized by the Paley Center as an Important Woman in Television.

She has also written “Invent It, Sell It, Bank It!,” an international bestselling step-by-step guide on how to turn an idea into a million-dollar reality.

Following the keynote address, attendees can customize their plan for the day by pre-registering for a mix of topics across varied learning tracks, including seminars and case studies from renowned authorities on topics of business, marketing, product, and trends.

The full roster of speaker details will be available shortly, organizers said.

Meals will be provided, refreshments will be served throughout the day, and a networking cocktail reception will wrap up each day.

Symposium ’24 is scheduled for March 10-11 in Midtown Manhattan at Madison and East 45th Street, near the other jewelry events taking place around that time, such as the Gem Awards on March 8, the 24 Karat Club banquet on March 9, and JA New York Spring, which will be held at the Javits Center from March 10-12.

“JCK is pleased to join our longtime partner, The Plumb Club, to address the needs of their retail partners, providing retailers an opportunity to learn and gain industry education and insights while already in New York City for … other jewelry industry events,” said Sarin Bachmann, group vice president of RX jewelry group, which operates JCK.

“Our mission at JCK is to continue to foster business growth within the jewelry industry, and we are excited to see the Symposium deliver added value to this select audience.”

Jewelers Mutual is the founding sponsor for the event.

The Plumb Club said seats are limited and the exact venue address is available only via invitations.

Retailers with questions or those wishing to put in a request for consideration should email info@plumbclub.com.
