Louis Anthony Jewelers Is Remodeling and Expanding
The Pittsburgh jeweler is redoing the lighting and showcases, and adding a full hospitality bar as well as new shop-in-shops.
The makeover, which the store said will combine “traditional classic elements with modern contemporary sensibilities,” includes new showcases, LED lighting, a Louis Anthony Home Collection, and a full hospitality bar, as well as new watch boutiques and a David Yurman shop-in-shop.
“Shopping is about more than making a purchase,” said Louis Guarino Jr., founder and president of Louis Anthony. “The customer wants an experience, to feel welcome and at home. We have always provided that feeling, and we are now taking it to the next level.”
Phase one of the project included Tudor, TAG Heuer, and Carl Bucherer watch boutiques, which the store described as a “watch enthusiast’s dream.”
Meanwhile, the new David Yurman shop-in-shop, a rendering of which is pictured above, is slated to open this fall.
It will be the first in the tri-state area (Pennsylvania-Ohio-West Virginia), with Amie Guarino, store buyer and stylist, noting that giving brands premium positioning in the store was a major factor in the decision to remodel.
The remodeled Louis Anthony Jewelers also will have a new 900-square-foot Rolex corner featuring a certified watchmaker who will be available for in-house servicing of Rolex watches.
Louis and his wife, Veronica Guarino, opened Louis Anthony Jewelers in 1990.
The multiphase remodeling and expansion of their family’s store in the area of Pittsburgh known as the South Hills will expand it to 9,000 square feet.
Work began last August and is slated to conclude this October.
“Transforming this space is no small feat, but it won’t impact customers’ shopping experience at all as the majority of construction should be finished by October 2023,” Vice President of Operations Louis “Geeg” Guarino III said.
Vanessa Guarino, head of social media, is documenting the store’s transformation on both its Facebook and Instagram pages.
